That box wasn't checked when I looked at my search settings. But the thing is my Chrome is opening a new tab for every single thing I click on no matter if its a search or just a post on reddit or something. The closest is people who click on a link when they do a search on Google and it opens in a new tab, so they change their search settings under the "where results open thing" and uncheck the box that says "Open each selected result in a new browser window" and it stops doing that. I've been searching online to find the answer and I'm not finding anyone with the same problem. I now have 4 reddit tabs open for something that could've been done in one tab.
